Welcome...

I hope that it provides information which is useful and relevant. I am open to suggestions for other items for inclusion.

The purpose of this website is to make it easier for my constituents to understand what their M.P. does and what he may be able to do for them.

Since being elected Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden in 1977 it has always been my aim to be as accessible and available as possible.

Democracy is a two-way process – I am keen to know the views of my constituents on matters of the day. I am equally anxious to be able to offer help with problems that they experience. Hopefully, this website will go someway to achieving those ends.
