Sir Alan always welcomes a letter from a constituent, and will always deal with your concerns personally and in a sympathetic and confidential manner.
Depending on the situation it may be appropriate for him to write on your behalf to a Government Minister, or local authority or, possibly a private company such as an energy supplier or a train company
Making representations in this way is usually much quicker and more effective if your correspondence is in a hard form, such as a letter, email or fax. This ensures that no details are lost or misrepresented, which can happen over the phone. Data confidentiality is increasingly important. Many organisations will not supply information unless Sir Alan has a signed letter of authorisation from his constituent. To find out how to contact Sir Alan, click [here]

Sir Alan always attempts to deal with a constituents concerns in the quickest possible time. However, as this often involves making representations to, and therefore receiving a reply back from, another organisation, he can’t guarantee that you will receive a reply in any set time period
